The Maui-tinei-ahi is a fire-safety programme for year 1 and 2 students in Maori Medium Education produced by the New Zealand Fire Service. It replaces an older version of the programme that many schools have been using since 2000.

The updated Maui-tinei-ahi programme was developed by educators and kaiako after an evaluation of the original programme in 2008 in which a number of kura participated. The new edition aligns with Te Marautanga O Aotearoa (2008).
